Hello lovely people 4th chapter is here enjoy reading..
Singh mansion:
Yash, Karan, and Rohan reached home and lay down on the bed.
"God, this baarish..." Yash muttered as he went inside to freshen up.
After a while, he emerged from the washroom wearing a t-shirt and trousers.
Meanwhile, Karan was busy on his phone, preparing for his cousin's marriage.
He sounded rough.
"Mom, I'm just coming for my cousin's marriage, not for you and dad. You all can have your family time-don't drag me into this."
Rohan and Yash heard him. They knew the reason and didn't want to push him further, so they kept quiet.
Karan rubbed his temple and lay down on the bed.
The three of them stared at the ceiling in silence.
Rohan finally broke it. "Why has life been so unfair to all of us?"
Yash sighed. "Pata nahi yaar, kabhi kabhi aise lagta hai it was all just a nightmare... that night which changed everything."
Karan nodded. "Yes. It took everything from us... and turned into a haunting day."
What nightmare? What really happened?
Meanwhile, Shivani quickly took a shower and selected a pista-colored Indian dress with back doris, shimmer embroidery, and small stones. She draped her pista dupatta around her shoulders. Her minimal makeup, small studs, and open hair made her look like a doll. The nude lipstick completed her look perfectly.
As she came downstairs, her parents and sister Naina were already seated in the hall.
Naina was wearing a blue Indian dress with embroidery, and her long hair made her look stunning. But as she looked at Shivani, a wave of insecurity hit her. Even with minimal makeup, Shivani looked effortlessly cute-and that was the reason Naina hated it.
Vinita and Raj caressed Naina's hair lovingly, yet they forgot about their elder daughter. Shivani looked at them, feeling uneasy, and tried to hide her discomfort.
But somewhere deep in her heart, she still craved that love...
They sat in a cab and drove to the wedding venue.
Back at Yash's home, the three boys were getting ready.
Rohan wore a blue suit that matched his personality perfectly.
Karan chose a grey suit that made him look even more handsome.
And finally, Yash wore a black suit that made him look not just handsome-but charming.
The three of them looked perfect and dashing.
Rohan smirked, "Aaj toh sab mujhe hi dekhenge."
Karan rolled his eyes. "Wahan groom ko chhod ke sab tujhe dekhenge? Chal hatt!"
Yash hit him lightly on the head. "Self-obsessed banda."
Rohan clutched his heart dramatically. "Tum dono ko main handsome nahi lagta? Kaise dost ho mere! Oh God, itna handsome bana diya aapne mujhe!"
Karan and Yash both shook their heads at his dramatic nature.
The wedding venue was bustling with energy-children running around, elders chatting, laughter echoing everywhere. The garden was beautifully decorated with twinkling star lights, giving everything a magical touch.
Shivani arrived with her family, her pista green dress perfectly complementing the decor. As they walked in, her eyes lit up at the sight of the glowing star lights. A few guests turned to look at her with admiration.
Naina felt a slight pang of jealousy but masked it with a smile. As they made their way toward the family, Shivani glanced at her phone and muttered, "Yeh ladki kabhi time pe kyun nahi aati?"
Just then, Meera arrived, dressed in a shimmering blue Indian outfit. Her hair gently brushed her shoulders, and her makeup highlighted her natural beauty.
Shivani narrowed her eyes. "Phir late, Meera."
"Sorry sorry!" Meera said quickly.
Shivani softened, "Tum bahut pyaari lag rahi ho."
Meera smiled, "Thanks, babe."
Meera smirked, "Ab yeh bata, teri Godzilla family kahan hai?" Shivani glared her chupkar.
"Godzilla nahi toh Anaconda kaisa hai?" Meera teased.
"Meeraaa, stop!"
"Okay okay, I'll stop, Shiviii..." Meera giggled.
Outside, a car finally pulled up. Yash, Karan, and Rohan stepped out. A few girls looked their way, clearly impressed-but did they care? Not at all.
"As they entered, Karan's mother, Rita-graceful in a pink saree and in her mid-thirties-noticed them, her expression betraying clear displeasure."
"Karan beta, itni der se kyun aaye ho?"
"Mom, please don't start again. Let me enjoy the wedding," Karan replied, clearly irritated.
Rita's eyes landed on Yash and Rohan. "Of course, agar yeh dono rahenge toh tumhe kisi aur ki zarurat hi kya hai," she mocked.
Yash replied coolly, "Aunty, hum saath hai tabhi aaye hain... warna toh aap logon ne kuch kasar nahi chhodi thi."
Rita's face turned red, but she walked away, controlling her anger.
Karan let out a sigh of relief. "God, yeh melodrama... chalo, andar chalte hain."
Inside, Meera and Shivani were talking. As Rohan walked by, his eyes landed on Meera. The way she was smiling, her eyes twinkling-he couldn't look away.
Karan noticed and playfully smacked him on the head. "Saale, ladki ko ghoor raha hai. Sharam nahi aati?"
Rohan grinned, "Apni ladki ko dekhne mein kaisi sharam, bhai?"
Karan shook his head, laughing. "Tera kuch nahi ho sakta."
The videographer was busy capturing every moment. Shivani rolled her eyes. "Yeh camera wale uncle bhi na... banda kha bhi raha ho, tab bhi record karte hain. At least dinner toh peacefully karne do."
Meera laughed. "Woh dekh, Shivi. Woh aunty sabko kaise ghoor rahi hai!"
Shivani smirked, "Lagta hai apne bete ke liye ladki dhoond rahi hai. Yeh auntiyan sirf isi liye shaadiyon mein aati hain!"
"Typical," Meera muttered. Both of them giggled.
Yash was walking by when something caught his attention - it was Shivani.
He smirked and walked towards her. "Chashmish," he said. Shivani looked shocked.
"Tum yahan bhi aa gaye? Aur tum yahan kaise, Chashmish?"
Shivani rolled her eyes. "Obviously, apne pairon se."
Yash chuckled. "As if mujhe pata hi nahi tha."
Shivani continued, "Ab pata chal gaya na? Jao yahan se."
Meera rubbed her temples. "Guys, stop. Shivi, chal yahan se." And the two of them walked away.
Meanwhile, Karan and Rohan walked towards Shivani and Meera from a distance.
"Woh bhi yahan hai," Rohan said with a smirk.
"Kitni pyaari lag rahi hai na, Meera," Rohan added.
Yash and Karan both smirked at their friend's crush.
Meanwhile, Shivani and Meera were walking when Shivani's bua called them.
"Shivani beta, kaisi ho?"
"Bua, main theek hoon," Shivani replied.
Her bua continued, "Aur batao, padhai kaisi chal rahi hai? Kitne percentage aayenge iss baar?"
Meera cut in, "Hello Bua, I'm Meera - Shivani's best friend. Aur aapko nahi lagta yeh shaadi hai? Yahan pe percentage aur studies kyun, Bua ji?"
Shivani's bua gave them a short, embarrassed smile and walked away.
Meera turned to Shivani. "Kya ajeeb bua hai teri, Shivi."
Near the food counter, Rohan was busy filling his plate with desserts.
Karan muttered, "Itna mat kha, bhookad."
Rohan smirked, "Shaadi kyun hoti hai? Logon ko invite kyun karte hain? Obvious hai - khane ke liye. Aur ab mujhe khane do."
Meanwhile, the bride's aunty noticed Yash and his group. She walked up to them.
"Beta, main dekh rahi hoon tum tab se bas khaaye ja rahe ho," she said to Rohan.
Rohan looked up from his plate. "Toh aunty, ismein galat baat kya hai?"
The bride's aunty continued, "Dusron ka bhi khayal rakhna chahiye, beta."
With that, she signaled the waiter not to serve Rohan any more dessert and walked away.
"Yash, see? We told you, you don't eat," he said, and Karan started laughing.
Shivani was seated when she noticed a girl wearing a yellow Anarkali suit. Her hair flowed beautifully over her shoulders, and her makeup complemented the sparkling glass-stone design of her dress. Her eyes sparkled with mischief.
Shivani recognized her-it was her cousin, Piya.
Piya looked at her, and her face lit up.
"Shivaniii!" she exclaimed and quickly ran toward her, hugging her tightly.
"Itne time baad, Shivi! How are you?"
Shivani chuckled. "I'm fine, Piya. Meet my best friend, Meera."
As they stood chatting, Piya continued, "Mujhe laga tum nahi aaogi."
Piya was the one cousin who was very close to Shivani. In fact, she treated her like a real sister-unlike Naina, who didn't even seem to care.
After a while, Piya excused herself and walked away. From the other side, Karan was coming, engrossed in typing something on his phone. His brows were furrowed in concentration as he spoke on a call, not paying attention to where he was going-and he collided with Piya.
"Ouch!" Piya exclaimed.
Karan looked up and glared. "Can't you see and walk? You have two eyes, don't you? Still can't walk properly?"
She rolled her eyes. "Ahh! Ulta chor kotwal ko daante! You should be the one looking where you're going. So annoying!"
Karan continued, "Listen, my name is Karan Kapoor."
She replied in mockery "Karan Kapoor ho ya Charan Chapoor, yahan bakri ki tarah cheen-cheen karna band karo."
He got frustrated. "Listen, mind your tongue!"
She whispered, "I will mind my tongue-you mind yours."
Karan muttered, "You're impossible."
She smirked. "I know."
And with that, they walked away.
Shivani, Meera, and Piya sat together a little away from the rest. Nearby, Yash, Karan, and Rohan were seated, chatting among themselves.
Piya muttered, "You know, I met a guy-he was so rude to me." She pouted and gestured subtly in Karan's direction.
Meera and Shivani followed her gaze. "Karan?" they both asked.
Piya nodded. "How do you know him?
Meera replied, "He's our classmate."
Piya rolled her eyes. "Batameez ladka..." she said under her breath.
Meanwhile, the bride and groom were seated as some guests performed dances. The younger ones were enjoying the moment, dancing joyfully. Shivani sat quietly, watching the performances.
Nearby, a group of aunties whispered, "Pata nahi aaj kal ke logon ko kya ho gaya hai... shaadi mein bhi naachne lagte hain."
Rohan overheard them and said, "Tab ke zamane mein technology nahi thi, aur soch bhi choti thi. But nowadays, this generation has a more open mindset."
The aunties muttered, "Aisi thinking rakhne se kuch nahi hota."
Yash, feeling bored, looked around for some fun. His eyes landed on Shivani, who was seated alone. He smirked, "Chal Yash, let's trouble Miss Little One."
"Shivaniii," he called.
She looked at him and quickly turned her face away. "What, Yash?"
"Arrey, kya hua?"
"Huhh, what do you want, Yash? Don't trouble me!" she snapped, clearly frustrated.
But Yash wasn't the type to let her off the hook so easily.
The wedding rituals continued. Karan hugged his cousin brother and offered his congratulations. He glanced at his family but kept his emotions in check-he didn't want to show vulnerability, especially not in front of them.
The priest continued chanting mantras, and soon the couple was officially announced as husband and wife.
Then came the cake-cutting ceremony, organized by the youngsters.
Little did anyone know... that this cake would turn into a wedding disaster!
As the bride and groom cut the cake and it was being distributed, Shivani was quietly enjoying her slice. Yash, up to his usual mischief, smirked as he aimed a piece of cake near Shivani's feet. But Shivani, sensing his prank, quickly bent down to fix her sandal.
Splatt!
The cake flew past her and landed straight on an older uncle standing behind her.
The uncle, now with frosting on his kurta and face, looked shocked and furious. He wiped his face angrily and shouted, "Kisne kiya yeh?! Aajkal ke bachche bhi na...!"
Yash immediately turned his face the other way, pretending to sip his drink, as if nothing had happened.
Shivani bit her lip to hold back her laughter
The older uncle continued asking, "Who did this?" but everyone stood silently. Shivani, unbothered, calmly continued eating her cake.
The uncle's wife gently said, "Chhodiye, jaane dijiye. Shaadi ka time hai, it's okay."
Yash sighed in relief, quickly looking away to avoid eye contact.
Meanwhile, a group of aunties were nibbling on their cake and whispering, "Kaunsa cake hai yeh? Itna meetha... meri sugar high ho jaayegi!"
One of them, distracted, carelessly flung her leftover cake to the side-right onto someone's expensive shoes.
A sudden shout: "Mere shoes! 3 lakh ke the! Kisne pheka cake?! Batao!"
Everyone froze. No one answered.
The man, furious, picked up a piece of cake and threw it in frustration-splat!-it landed right on Piya's dress.
She gasped, glaring at him. Without hesitation, she picked up another piece and hurled it-bam!-straight onto Karan's face.
"Kya kiya?! Batameez ladki!" Karan shouted, wiping frosting off his cheek.
He grabbed a chunk and flung it back-but missed-and it landed squarely on Meera's head.
And just like that... the cake was no longer food-it became a full-blown battle.
Laughter, chaos, frosting everywhere.
Without warning, Yash grabbed a small piece and smacked it right on Shivani's face.
"Ahhh!" she shrieked, her face contorted in disbelief and fury.
"Yashhh!" she yelled, wiping her cheek.
She scooped up a fistful of cake and slammed it onto his face. "Take that!"
Yash glared through the frosting. "You're done for, Chashmish!"
The entire wedding lawn turned into a frosting-
splattered war zone, while the DJ, somehow still playing music, shouted over the mic: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the real shaadi drama!
Thank you♡♡
